Long before the popularization of Virtualization as a commercial product in a hosted environment, we have been offering Virtual Private Servers (VPS) that dates back to 1998. Our Tier-1 Global IP Network has been the pioneer and the first to deliver multiple "virtual" servers with the use of a single physical server. Each VPS is fully isolated with its own file system, processes, users, applications and resource allocations for customized configurations. Because of operating system-level server virtualization, secure virtual environments coexist on a single physical server. Each account operates in isolation, similar to a stand-alone server.

Why VPS?

Fair Share Technology is a system implemented by our IP Service Provider that manages how each VPS uses processing power, memory and network resources. Each is allocated its "fair share" and isolated from others on the same server, thereby protecting individual account from the problems of others. A fault in one application running within a VPS does not affect any applications running on another VPS account on the same physical server.

Each VPS is allocated its own disk space and processes, which cannot be abused by a "neighboring" account. Usage thresholds are implemented, monitored and enforced. As a result, customer websites and applications perform consistently and reliably. Moreover, virtualization results to a near-zero overhead, gaining higher efficiency and manageability.

Fair Share Technology carves CPU and RAM server resources into Virtual Resource Units, helping to balance server loads and make VPS the most reliable choice for hosting web sites.
